Signs that Your Vehicle is Due for Auto Repair

Your vehicle is a metal shell running on different systems. As with all systems, wear and tear can take its toll on the components. That being the case, it may be time that you get your vehicle into an auto repair shop before it gives up on you.

The Clues for The Clueless Car Owners

A good sign that your car needs repair is when the engine has become a cacophony of different sounds. From knocking and tapping sounds, stuttering, and the grinding of the gears, all of these signify that you might be experiencing engine problems.

Other than the sounds they make, visual cues that would determine the need for repair include a big black puff of smoke from the tail pipe, gauges reflecting low oil pressure and low compression, or the frequent need to add more oil.

You might also notice flashing and blinking lights within your dashboard console, alerting you to the fact that there is something wrong with your car’s “heart”. The one symptom that you cannot ignore is stalling, made noticeable by the fact that you are now stopped in the middle of the road with mad drivers honking you to oblivion.

While these problems can easily be fixed by auto repair shops, it’s best to remember that proper maintenance and proper use is key to keeping your vehicle and you happy.
