A tire that is not properly aligned may not wear evenly, which could impact its performance. All it takes is a small jolt or vibration while you are driving down the highway to result in the tire shredding without warning. Small dents or cracks in the surface paint can become points where rust will invade and start to eat away at the car. At some point, it could reach a major component of the car such as a brake line or your gas tank.

Therefore, it is critical that you take your car to a repair shop as soon as possible for a checkup. If the damage is small enough, it may be possible to fix it without having to repair or replace a bumper, windshield or body panel.
